Biography

Lauren Frey Daisley's stories appear in The Morning News--where she is a Contributing Writer--and Salon.  They have been mentioned in publications ranging from the Guardian UK to Gawker. New pieces are forthcoming in Parents and American Baby. She has written for corporate clients including independent PR firm Ruder Finn and innovation consultancy SYPartners. Lauren was one of the original writer/producers on the national, Public Radio International show, Fair Game. During its long run with host David Brancaccio, she was the announcer for the nationally-distributed NOW on PBS. She has also voiced narration for clients including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Columbia/Legacy, Simon & Schuster Audio, and Partners in Health. Lauren has hosted on Sirius Satellite Radio, WQXR, and WNYC Radio. Her interviews include Maya Angelou, Seth Godin, and Kathie Lee Gifford. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the recipient of the School's Artist and Scholar Award. Outside work, Lauren is a competent seamstress, a passable climber, and a talented unicyclist. She lives with her husband and child.
